Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics of the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Scholar of Research position in Mathematics to begin August 7th, 2019. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or directly related field is required, with preference in disciplines related to Combinatorics (especially Extremal or Probabilistic Combinatorics). Applications from individuals who are ABD will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by appointment start date. Predilection will be given to applicants with a strong record of research productivity with the potential to secure external funding, and have demonstrated experience teaching university undergraduates. The annual salary is $47,659, with $1,000 in departmental travel support. This position carries a teaching load of two (2) courses per year. The contract is renewable for an additional year based on satisfactory performance in both research and teaching. The position is open until filled, however, initial review of applications will begin January 1st, 2019.
