Briar Cliff University of Iowa, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track, assistant professor in Mathematics to start in the fall of 2019. Candidates will have earned a Ph.D. in mathematics. The duties include a 24 hour teaching load in addition to advising of major students. Teaching assignments will vary and include both General Education courses as well as major specific courses. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in statistics or mathematical modelling. Willingness to innovatively advance the current mathematics curriculum is expected and experience teaching online courses is a plus. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education in a Catholic and Franciscan University.
