Applications are invited for a Griffiths Assistant Research Professor in Mathematics. Candidates should have completed a doctorate in mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, or computer science, as of January 1st, 2019 and show definite promise in research and teaching. This position will be fully funded by a grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, so teaching will not be required, but will potentially be available if desired.

The appointment is for two years and may be renewed for a third year, beginning on January 1st, 2019, or later.

Candidates interested in working with Prof. John Harer and/or Prof. Paul Bendich are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates who are interested in the application of topology and/or geometry to data analysis, with a particular focus on problems in multi-modal data analysis or data fusion, are especially encouraged to apply.

The applicant should request at least four letters of recommendation, including one that evaluates the applicant's teaching.
