Ripon College, a Phi Beta Kappa undergraduate liberal arts college committed to excellence in undergraduate education, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Computer and Data Sciences to begin August 2019.

The successful candidate will oversee the newly established curriculum in Computer and Data Sciences, and will have the opportunity to shape this exciting new program. Computer and Data Science offerings provide the foundation for four integrated majors: Computer Science/Mathematics, Computer Science/Physics, Computer Science/Chemistry, and Interdisciplinary Computer Science. The appointment will be made in the department that best fits the candidate’s scholarly interests.

PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry preferred. Candidates with a Master’s degree and significant relevant experience will be considered. Candidates must be able to teach programming, data analysis/visualization, data structures and algorithms, artificial intelligence, and applied machine learning. All Ripon College faculty advise students, provide service to the college, and contribute to Catalyst, our distinctive core curriculum. The expected teaching load is 6 courses per year or equivalent. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching of courses, student mentoring, and service.
