Visiting Assistant Professor, Mathematics 
Full-time, Non-Tenure track 
August 2019 

The Dominican University Department of Mathematics seeks applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics for the 2019-2020 academic year. The position is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Responsibilities consist of teaching three courses per semester across the curriculum, including courses below calculus, and service to the department and university. 

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a PhD in mathematics or related field. The candidate must be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate courses. 

Preferred Qualifications: The ability to teach statistics, actuarial studies courses, or data science courses is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and interest in teaching students with a wide range of exposure to basic mathematics. The ideal candidate should provide evidence of inclusive pedagogy designed to reach a diverse student population.
