The Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS)
at the New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks candidates to fill a
tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level in the
areas of statistics, data science, statistical machine learning, biostatistics,
applied probability, stochastic processes, or data assimilation. The
appointment is to start in Fall 2019. The Department is particularly interested
that candidates be able to teach data science courses at undergraduate and
graduate levels. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics,
applied mathematics, statistics, data science or related discipline with strong
research, funding and teaching potential for consideration at the
assistant/associate professor level. At the university's discretion, the
education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can
demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of
education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in
