Position Summary:
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Yeshiva University, in New York City (Manhattan) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in mathematical sciences beginning in the fall of 2019. The department offers mathematics major, MA and PhD programs in mathematical science.

Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the selected candidate include:

  • Teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels in areas of pure and applied mathematics and statistics.
  • Developing and maintaining a high quality research program, actively applying for external grants, and participating in the departmental colloquiums and seminars.
  • Directing undergraduate and graduate students in their independent study and research.
  • Contributing service to the university and the profession.

    Experience & Educational Background:
    Qualifications of the candidate include:

  • An earned doctorate in mathematical sciences by August 2019.
  • A demonstrated record of effective teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

    Skills & Competencies:
  • A strong research potential evidenced by recommendation letters and a list of publications.
