Kent State University’s Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track teaching position.  The successful candidate must have a M.S. in the Mathematical Sciences. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline (or A.B.D. at the time of hire) are encouraged to apply.   The position is available at the lecturer or assistant professor rank.   The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching experience in lower division mathematics, particularly in statistics, quantitative reasoning and/or other courses that are part of the STEM track.  Opportunities to teach upper-division courses, particularly in actuarial mathematics, are possible depending on student demand and need.  Candidates with experience teaching in an active learning environment are especially encouraged to apply.
