The Norwich University Department of Mathematics is seeking dynamic faculty to engage our undergraduates in the discovery of mathematics beginning fall 2019. Applicants should possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence and demonstrate the ability to use alternative delivery systems and technology. Responsibilities include teaching up to 9-12 credit hours per semester, student advising, service in the academic community, and continued scholarship. Candidates from all specialties are encouraged to apply, but knowledge of Statistics and/or Differential Equations is a plus. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position.

Presently the Department consists of 11 full-time faculty members and several part-time adjuncts. Introductory lecture courses generally are limited to a maximum of 30 students. At the junior/senior level, classes are typically populated with 5 to 15 students. Tenure-track faculty members enjoy funding opportunities to attend conferences and engage in undergraduate research. Current departmental research interests include statistical analysis, actuarial science, differential equations and their applications to biology, graph theory, logic, real analysis, and mathematics education.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. in an appropriate mathematical discipline (or A.B.D. with a completion date by August 15, 2019) is required. Additional Information:
