University of Warwick, Coventry

Fixed Term, Full-Time Contract until 30 August 2022

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellowship working with David Loeffler and his research group on the EPSRC-funded research project “P-adic L-functions and explicit reciprocity laws”. The aim of this project is to construct p-adic L-functions associated to cohomological automorphic representations of symplectic and unitary groups, and to relate values of these L-functions to p-adic regulators.

We are seeking a candidate with strong research potential, and prior familiarity with some or all of the following areas:

• p-adic automorphic forms

• geometry of Shimura varieties

• Iwasawa theory and p-adic L-functions

It is expected that applicants have, or be about to complete, a PhD in one of these areas.

Applications may be submitted through the Warwick Human Resources website. Applications should include the following documents: CV, list of publications, research statement and 2 letters of recommendation. Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£30,395 pa).
