| Position Description: Reporting to the department chair, the Assistant Professor position requires teaching introductory and upper-level courses for students majoring in the pure mathematics, applied mathematics, or mathematics education track.
Required Qualifications:
• Earned Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education, or an Ed.D. with a specialization in mathematics by August 1, 2019
• Demonstrated evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Willingness to engage students in research
• A scholarly research agenda appropriate for a university emphasizing undergraduate education
• Excellent oral and written communication skills |
