One-Year Post-doctoral Position, Mathematics, Pitzer College Pitzer College, a selective private liberal arts institution, invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral position beginning August 2019. We seek someone with a Ph.D. in Mathematics, who has a demonstrated commitment to teaching and scholarship in a liberal arts environment, and who can engage the interest of women and minority students in mathematics. A typical course load is three classes per semester; primarily in the Calculus sequence (including Precalculus). Preference will be given to specialization in the current department research areas: topology, mathematical visualization, history of mathematics, or philosophy of mathematics.

Pitzer is one of the Claremont Colleges (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pomona, and Scripps Colleges, the Keck Graduate Institute, and Claremont Graduate University). Over 40 Ph.D. mathematicians, a weekly colloquium series, research-level seminars, and fine mathematical library collections are present in Claremont.
