The Department of Mathematics at William & Mary invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer faculty position to initiate a curriculum in Actuarial Science that will begin August 10, 2019. The initial appointment may be issued for a period of up to three years, with renewal contingent upon performance review, departmental need, and funding. A graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field and/or professional actuarial credentials required at the time of application. Industry experience desired. Strong commitment to undergraduate education in preparation for the actuarial exams is required. The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3-3 teaching load.

Required Qualifications: A Master's degree or FSA certification is required. A graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field and/or professional actuarial credentials required at the time of application. Strong commitment to undergraduate education in preparation for the actuarial exams is required.

Preferred: A Ph.D. or ABD is preferred at the time appointment begins (August 10, 2019). Industry experience desired.
