The Mathematics Department of the University of Pisa, Italy, invites applications for a tenure-track position of assistant professor (ricercatore a tempo determinato) in the area of Mathematical Physics. It is expected that applicants will have an excellent publication and research record. Participation in teaching is expected at all levels.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. If the Ph.D. degree has been attained in a non-Italian institution, applicants are required to provide records of equivalence according to

The successful candidate becomes associate professor after three years if he/she achieves the Italian Abilitazione nazionale and subject to a positive evaluation of the research and teaching activities of the candidate.
