Assistant professor position in mathematics at Columbia College

Columbia College is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning August 2019. Columbia College is a liberal arts college that highly values the teacher/scholar model. All candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, a desire to work in a liberal arts environment with emphasis on leadership development, and a potential to sustain a program of productive scholarship.

The successful candidate for the mathematics position must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a mathematical science by the time of appointment. The candidate must be able to teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate mathematics courses. Credentials in mathematics education and a readiness to teach education courses relevant to the preparation of future math teachers at the middle school level are a plus.
