The Department of Mathematics at Drexel University invites applications for a possible 9-month, renewable, non-tenure track teaching position, effective September 2019 for the 2019-2020 school year. Drexel University is a private, urban university, with over 12,000 full-time undergraduates and over 9,000 professional and graduate students, and is well-known for its co-operative education program. The Mathematics Department offers undergraduate, masters and PhD degrees. Applicants are required to hold a MS or Ph.D. in a Mathematical Science or equivalent, and to be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching beginning and advanced students. A Ph.D. is required to be hired at the Assistant Teaching Professor level. The main duties will be 12 credit hours of teaching per 10 week term (or equivalent as assigned by the Department Head), holding regularly scheduled office hours in our tutoring center, and meeting with students outside of class. Other duties include service within the department such as participation in open houses and other events.
