The Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University solicits applications for the position of Director of Online Courses. The responsibilities of this position will include the administration, development, and marketing of the Department's online mathematics offerings; the hiring, training, and supervision of online instructors; and teaching six online undergraduate courses per academic year, typically two per semester and two in the summer.

A Ph.D. in mathematics, as well as significant experience teaching online mathematics courses and teaching mathematics at the university level are expected. Depending on the experience and career stage of the successful candidate, the position will carry the rank either of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. Lecturer positions are one-year renewable appointments, while Senior Lecturers are renewable appointments of up to three years in duration.
