Pending budgetary approval, the Program of Mathematics and Statistics at Louisiana Tech University anticipates filling a non-tenure-track instructor position, commencing August 1, 2019. A successful candidate is expected to teach mathematics and statistics courses that serve general education requirements in an online environment. Candidates must possess excellent teaching credentials as well as a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics and/or statistics by the start date. Experience teaching in an online environment is preferred.

The Program of Mathematics and Statistics is housed in the College of Engineering and Science, whose vision is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. The College is experiencing significant growth in several program areas and is undertaking an aggressive faculty recruiting campaign to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. Construction of a new $40M integrated engineering and science education building providing the College an additional 128,000 square feet of educational space is underway with an anticipated occupancy for Fall 2019. The Program of Mathematics and Statistics offers a B.S. and an M.S. degree in Mathematics and is a major participant in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Computational Analysis and Modeling. Additionally, as a provider of general education requirements, the Program of Mathematics and Statistics serves the entire campus community.
