Application Description:    

The Department of Mathematics at North Carolina State University invites applications for a junior tenure-track position beginning Fall 2020. Applications from suitably qualified candidates for more senior positions will be considered. We are seeking exceptionally well-qualified individuals with research interests compatible with those in the department in the general area of mathematical analysis and its applications. Among the areas of interest are harmonic analysis, nonsmooth analysis, optimal transportation theory, and stochastic analysis. Candidates must have a PhD in the mathematical sciences; successful post-doctoral training; experience in, and a continued commitment to, outstanding research and effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
