Visiting Research Associate

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh (Oakland campus) invites applications for a Visiting Research Associate position during the Spring term of academic year 2019-2020.

This position is for a term of one semester, without the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include teaching one course and participating in research in computational mathematics with faculty and graduate students in the area. Screening will be done on a rolling basis, starting immediately.

Required Qualifications

Completion of a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related field is required prior to the start of appointment. Applicants should have experience teaching in mathematics and especially numerical analysis.
