Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Canisius College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2020. A PhD in Mathematics, as well as a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research in a liberal arts setting, is essential. The department will consider all areas of Mathematics, but some preference will be given to candidates whose research interests are in Combinatorics and/or Graph Theory. Successful candidates will contribute to the new Master’s degree in Data Analytics.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Canisius College has a fine record of teaching excellence and research scholarship. In the recent past the department has run highly innovative programs of undergraduate research, including an NSF sponsored REU on Geometry and Physics on Graphs. Our faculty members are active researchers who publish books and articles on a regular basis.
