The Johns Hopkins University’s Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, in collaboration with the Mathematical Institute for Data Sciences, seeks applicants for a lecturer position in Data Science commencing July 1, 2020 on the Homewood campus.

The selected individual will be expected to participate in the master’s program in Data Science by teaching two classes per semester over a two-semester academic year, taking part in the program’s academic leadership and in the selection of candidates who apply to the program, and by advising students who are enrolled in the program. Successful candidates must have a strong academic background, with a doctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, and are expected to have a strong commitment to, and excellent credentials in, teaching subjects related to Data Science, including its mathematical foundations.
