With 30 faculty, 43 graduate students, and over 400 undergraduate majors, the Department of Mathematics currently has active groups in algebra, analysis, topology, applied mathematics, scientific computing, and mathematical biology. The successful candidate should have an international reputation for scholarship, a proven track record of securing external funding, demonstrated excellence at graduate and undergraduate education, and a willingness to supervise undergraduate and graduate research. Preference will be given for someone who will complement existing strengths of the applied and computational math group.
