The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rutgers University-Newark invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position of mathematics to start September 2020. Applicants from all fields are welcome. Priority will be given to applicants whose research is in one of the areas of mathematical research of interest to current faculty in the Department. These include
• representation theory, number theory and algebra;
• low-dimensional topology, geometric group theory, Kleinian groups and Teichmuller theory; including computational aspects, and
• geometric analysis, complex and differential geometry.

Requirements: Candidates should have received a PhD by the time the position starts and show outstanding promise of research ability in mathematics as well as a capacity for effective teaching.

Review of applications will begin December 1, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
