The Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut, Storrs invites applications for an Assistant Research Professor position. This full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month faculty appointment will begin August 23, 2020 with an expected duration of three years. The teaching load is two (2) courses per semester or equivalent.

Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests intersect those of the permanent faculty. Additional information about the department may be found at


A Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics; University-level teaching experience; and evidence of research potential in mathematics.


Research expertise that complements that of the department’s permanent faculty and a record of research activity.


This position is a full-time, nine (9) month position for an initial duration of one year, renewable for up to two additional years (three years total), contingent on satisfactory performance, mutual agreement and availability of funds.
