The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University is advertising a three-year postdoctoral fellowship in probability theory and related fields. The postdoctoral fellow will include a teaching obligation of two courses per year. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in mathematics or a related discipline at the date of appointment, and must have demonstrated the capacity for independent research of excellent quality. The probability group includes four faculty members from the McGill Department of Mathematics and Statistics (Louigi Addario-Berry, Linan Chen, Jessica Lin and Elliot Paquette), as well as several faculty members from other McGill departments and other Montreal universities.

The fellowship will include a generous salary, and additional funding will be available to the postdoc for research-related travel. Moreover, postdoctoral fellows, depending on their residency status, may pay a reduced tax rate (via the Québec program "Tax Exemption for Foreign Postdoctoral Trainees").
