The Department of Mathematics at Stanford University is seeking applicants for a Maryam Mirzakhani Postdoctoral Fellowship.  This appointment is for a term of at least one year and no more than three years, beginning in September 2020.  Outstanding candidates from any field of mathematics are encouraged to apply.

The Mirzakhani Postdoctoral Fellowship is intended for exceptional early-career mathematicians with great promise who have recently been awarded their PhD (2018 or later). Candidates are expected to show outstanding promise in research. A strong interest and ability in teaching is also highly recommended. This position has no teaching responsibilities during the first year and reduced teaching responsibilities during any subsequent years of the appointment.

For non-US citizens or permanent residents: This is a postdoctoral appointment, and J-1 visas or OPT (for PhDs immediately following graduation) are the available options.
