Teaching Faculty of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire, invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Faculty position to commence in August 2020. The Department offers B.S. degrees in mathematics, computational and applied mathematics, middle and secondary school teacher certification, and middle school and secondary school non-certification. Teaching Faculty positions are full time, with benefits and funded on a year to year basis. The teaching load is 30-32 credit hours per year.

Duties and Responsibilities: The teaching load is 30-32 credit hours per year. Responsibilities include teaching statistics content courses for the General Education program, teaching upper-level undergraduate mathematics or statistics courses, advising students, and service.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters in mathematics or a related field, Experience teaching mathematics or statistics, Interest in teaching introductory statistics at the college level, Excellent communication skills.

Additional Desirable Qualifications: PhD in mathematics or a related field, College-level teaching experience, Experience in teaching introductory statistics, Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students within the program and across the university, Competence in technology and innovative course delivery strategies, Willingness to coordinate multiple sections of statistics.
