The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises eight non-university research institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The research insti-tutes are members of the Leibniz Association.

Research Assistants (f/m/d)

to be filled as soon as possible. The prerequisites are a diploma or master degree in mathe-matics (or neighboring fields). The PhD should be completed or very close to completion. The successful candidate will have interest in applied mathematics, in particular in applied analy-sis, and has profound knowledge in at least two of the following areas: regularity theory for solutions of partial differential equations, functional analysis and operator theory, reaction-diffusion systems. The willingness of interdisciplinary interaction with researchers from natu-ral sciences and engineering as well as of collaboration in the acquisition of third-party fund-ing is expected.

The appointment is limited to 2 years and can be extended. The salary is according to the TvoeD scale.
