Valencia College is seeking a Professor, Mathematics to join our dedicated, passionate faculty team as a full-time, 10-month tenure-track appointment and 8-month annual appointment beginning Fall 2020.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

A master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in mathematics or statistics or 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics or statistics + master’s degree [required] Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning Experience working with students of various ages and cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds Knowledge of the community college and its mission and goals Please note the following information regarding this position:

Degrees in Accounting or 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting are not eligible to teach college level courses. Engineering course numbers are not eligible to teach college level courses (EEL, EGN, and COP). The following course prefixes are eligible to teach college level courses: MAP, MAT, MAS, MAA, MAP, MAD, and STA.

Salary: Full-Time Faculty positions are compensated based on the Full Time Faculty Salary Schedule.

Work Hours: Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes.
