The Department of Statistics at Oklahoma State University is seeking candidates for a Teaching Assistant Professor position to begin August 2020. Duties include undergraduate and graduate level teaching, coordination of graduate teaching assistants, assisting in program development & accreditation/assessment, and departmental service. This is a renewable appointment, with typical appointment terms of three years. There is the possibility of promotion to Associate Teaching Professor & Teaching Professor. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Statistics and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Experience with mentoring graduate teaching assistants is also desired.

The Department of Statistics is administratively located within the College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma State University and currently has nine full time faculty tenured/tenure track, 4 visitors and 20-25 graduate students. The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees.

Oklahoma State University is located in Stillwater in north-central Oklahoma, approximately 60 miles from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The University has about 23,000 students, including 5,000 who are enrolled in the Graduate College.
