Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) develops educational opportunities for many of the most eager math and science students in the world. We have trained tens of thousands of the country’s top students in the last 15 years, and our international online community of advanced problem solvers has over 500,000 members. 

Our online school will have over 16,000 enrollments this year. To train all these amazing students in math, Python, chemistry, and physics, we have a large team of curriculum developers, instructors, assistants, and graders.

We seek a Online School Staff Manager who has a strong background in mathematics or another STEM-related field to help us ensure our online school continues to run smoothly by monitoring and supporting our instructors, assistants, graders and students. 

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring courses are sufficiently staffed with instructors and assistants.
  • Ensuring online school staff grade and return student homework within expected timelines.
  • Ensuring online school staff answer student questions thoroughly and quickly. 
  • Monitoring and improving performance of staff and addressing performance issues.
  • Maintaining internal and staff-facing documentation in coordination with Lead School Staff Manager.
  • Providing feedback of staff management system and its effectiveness within the larger operational system.
  • Teaching online classes and assisting in office hours as needed.
  • Assisting Student Services team in completing grade reports, addressing plagiarism cases, and handling other general class inquiries. 

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Background in a STEM-related field
  • Some teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience managing a team or managing projects.
  • Excellent written communication skills. 

Additional Requirements:  

Weekend work is required due to online school schedule.
