Position Description:    

POSITION: Western Colorado University invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time positions in Mathematics for the 2020-2021 academic year (with possibility of renewal). Teaching responsibilities are 15 credits per semester including lower-division undergraduate Mathematics with the possibility of upper-division Mathematics and undergraduate research mentoring. The Mathematics program has approximately 50 majors, a comprehensive undergraduate curriculum, and seven full-time faculty members. SALARY: Salary: $37,000 - $38,000 annually, depending on qualifications. Benefits include an employee/employer shared contribution retirement plan and life and health insurance.

START DATE: August 2020

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field required. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and a commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in teaching. The department is particularly interested in candidates with experience in or potential for using innovative approaches to teaching. Prior teaching experience and experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
