Position Description:    

Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) develops educational opportunities for many of the most eager math students in the world. We have trained tens of thousands of the country’s top students over the last 16 years through our online school, and our international online community of advanced problem solvers has over 500,000 members.

At AoPS, we believe that students learn best by working through challenging problems that present students with opportunities to develop problem-solving and critical reasoning skills through productive struggle and creative thinking. Our goal is for students to build a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics through grappling with why mathematics works. 

We seek curriculum developers to help us shape innovative and engaging mathematical learning opportunities for motivated students in elementary, middle, or high school.  We are particularly focused and excited about expanding our Beast Academy Curriculum for our elementary and lower middle school students. 

We are looking for candidates to help us advance our Beast Academy Curriculum by:

  • Creating lessons and puzzles for our Beast Academy Practice books and Beast Academy Online.
  • Developing a more curated Beast Academy Online experience.
  • Creating content so we can launch new features in Beast Academy Online. Some upcoming projects include building "The Gym" (a math drill center) and a hint system.

Perks and Benefits:

This full-time position will be based at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. However, we are currently working remotely until it is safe to go back to the office (estimating early 2021). Highly qualified remote candidates will be considered if located in the following states: MA, NJ, PA, VA, MD, NC, GA, TX, CA, WA, or IL.
