Expected openings for Fall 2022 include Instructorships associated to R.H. Bing Faculty Fellowships. We are interested in candidates who will contribute diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research and service. Each R.H. Bing Fellow holds an Instructorship in the Department of Mathematics with a teaching load of one course in each semester. The combined Instructorship-Fellowship stipend for nine months is $60,000, which is supplemented by a travel allowance of $1000. Pending satisfactory performance of teaching duties, the Fellowship can be renewed for two additional years. Applicants must show outstanding promise in research. Bing Fellowship applicants will automatically be considered for other departmental openings at the postdoctoral level, so a separate application for such a position is unnecessary. Those wishing to apply for Instructor positions are asked to apply through MathJobs.Org. Applications will be considered on a continuing basis with priority given to complete applications received by December 1, 2021. Applications should be supported by four or more letters of recommendation, at least one of which speaks to the applicant’s teaching credentials. The screening of applications will begin on December 1, 2021. A background check will be conducted on the applicant selected. The University of Texas at Austin is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer. |
