The UNT Mathematics Department invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting in Fall 2022. The successful candidate is expected to teach 4 courses/sections per semester during the academic year. It is expected that the successful candidate will focus on the instruction of developmental/remedial mathematics courses and co-requisite pathway courses for students not deemed college ready.

Candidates must have, or expect by August 2022, a Masters degree in mathematics or a closely related field, including at least 18 semester graduate credit hours in coursework taught under a MATH or STAT prefix. Candidates must have at least two years of experience teaching developmental and/or college-level mathematics courses.

Applicants are encouraged to address in their teaching statement their experience teaching developmental mathematics, their philosophy about the need for developmental mathematics, along with their approach on how to best support students at this lower level.
