The Southern Methodist University Department of Mathematics is searching for candidates for two postdoctoral positions to join the group of Prof. Daniel Reynolds (https://people.smu.edu/dreynolds). Research topics will focus on the development and implementation of advanced time integration methods for large-scale simulations in fusion energy. Qualifications: candidates must have a PhD with expertise in one or more of high-performance computing, numerical analysis, and simulation of differential equations. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from women and underrepresented minorities. Compensation: $70,000/year. Benefits include health insurance and 403b retirement plan. The initial appointment is for 1 year, and is renewable annually up to 4 years based upon a satisfactory annual performance review.
