Position Description
Position Nos. 00054983 and 00054984. The Southern Methodist University Department of Mathematics is searching for candidates for two postdoctoral positions to join the group of Prof. Daniel Reynolds (https://people.smu.edu/dreynolds). Research topics will focus on the development and implementation of advanced time integration methods for large-scale simulations in fusion energy. Qualifications: candidates must have a PhD with expertise in one or more of high-performance computing, numerical analysis, and simulation of differential equations. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from women and underrepresented minorities. Compensation: $70,000/year. Benefits include health insurance and 403b retirement plan. The initial appointment is for 1 year, and is renewable annually up to 4 years based upon a satisfactory annual performance review.
