The Mathematics Department of Washington University in St. Louis, MO, is announcing three openings for tenure track Assistant Professors in pure mathematics, to begin August 2013. Responsibilities include teaching three one semester courses per year, maintaining a strong research program, publishing the results of the research, and customary student advising and departmental and university service.
Mathematicians in all areas will be considered. We expect to fill two of the positions with candidates in the field of Analysis; the other position can be filled by a mathematician in any area. A Ph.D. in mathematics is required.

At least one of the letters should report on the applicant's teaching abilities.
