|Southern Connecticut State University’s Mathematics Department invites applications for two tenure-track positions: one at the assistant and one at the assistant/associate level. Duties include teaching undergraduate/master’s-level courses in statistics and mathematics, pursuing creative activities, and participating in department and university service. Normal teaching load is 12 credit-hours per semester.
Qualifications include a doctorate in Statistics or Mathematics or a closely related field, ability to teach a wide range of statistics classes at the undergraduate and masters level, evidence of quality teaching and potential for scholarly growth. Applicants must be at least ABD. If ABD, candidate must have earned doctorate by time of appointment. Preference will be given to a candidate with the following interest and/or experience: development of an applied statistics master’s program, and/or cross-disciplinary research with other departments in the university. To be considered for the Associate-level position, the candidate must have a track record of external funding and/or a well-established research program.
