Two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in pure or applied mathematics in the Department of Mathematics, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D in pure or applied mathematics, or a closely related field, and a demonstrated potential for excellence in mathematics research and teaching. Preference will be given to applicants who work in fields of mathematics that complement and extend the strengths of the Department. This year, we are especially interested in candidates in discrete mathematics, pure and applied analysis, and mathematical biology.

Teaching responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses in mathematics. The ideal candidates will be able to establish strong, independent research programs.

Starting Date: August 2016

Review of applications will begin November 13, 2015 and continue until suitable candidates have been selected.
