BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning fall 2016.  Candidates must have a Ph.D., demonstrate potential for excellence in research, and display a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.  Preference will be given to candidates in the areas of algebra and analysis, including probability and statistics.  


Brandeis recognizes that diversity in its student body, staff and faculty is important to its primary mission of providing a quality education.  The search committee is therefore particularly interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching and/or service experiences, will increase Brandeis’ reputation for academic excellence and better prepare its students for a pluralistic society.
