The Mathematics Department of the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-track position in Number Theory, Algebraic Geometry, Representation Theory or Combinatorics to begin in the Fall Term 2016, pending budgetary approval. The appointment is at the Assistant Professor level, depending on the credentials of the applicant. A Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences or a closely related discipline is required. We seek excellence in teaching and research so applicants should demonstrate substantial research accomplishment and dedication to teaching.
