The Department of Mathematics at The University of Iowa invites applications for one tenure-track assistant professorship starting in August 2016 in the area of Computational Mathematics. Selection will be based on evidence of outstanding research accomplishments or potential, and on evidence of excellent and innovative teaching. Experience beyond the Ph.D. is desirable. The successful candidate will have an excellent research record that exhibits substantial experience in cross-disciplinary work and have expertise that complements the current faculty. The candidate will aggressively seek external funding, and engage in and initiate collaborations across campus. Candidates for the position must be committed to outstanding teaching, mentoring, and interact with students as all levels of undergraduate and graduate studies.
