We are currently looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join our Statistical Reinforcement Learning Group led by Dr. Susan Murphy. The successful applicant will be expected to develop an innovative research program in multi-stage decision making with a focus on mobile health. Our focus concerns method development for constructing and evaluating mobile health intervention polices from data. In particular we combine statistical methods with algorithms from reinforcement learning so as to provide inferential tools such as confidence intervals.

In this position you will have the opportunity to collaborate with statisticians, computer scientists and clinical scientists on the development of clinical trials, statistical methods and computational algorithms and in the analysis of data. To be considered for this position you must have a recent Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research or Electrical Engineering.
