Applications are invited for at least one tenure-track Assistant Professor position in mathematics. Applied and computational mathematics are our top priorities, but highly qualified applicants in other areas of current research interests of the department will also be considered. Requirements for the position include a doctoral degree and strong potential for research as well as a commitment to effective undergraduate and graduate teaching. ABDs will be considered if completion of the doctoral degree is expected no later than July 15, 2016. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Positions will begin August, 2016. Mississippi State University is a Land-Grant University and is designated as a “very high research activity university” by the Carnegie Foundation. The Department offers a Ph.D. degree in Mathematical Sciences and is highly research-oriented. Further information may be found at http://www.math.msstate.edu.
