The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Dynamical Systems. An appointment at a higher level may be possible under exceptional circumstances. Preferential consideration will be given to applicants whose research is of interest to the current members of the Department working on Dynamical Systems, in particular, Dynamics of Differential Equations. The Department offers an excellent research environment with a normal teaching load of two-and-a-half courses per year.

Applicants will have a PhD (or international equivalent) degree in mathematics, demonstrated accomplishments and outstanding promise in research, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will establish his/her own research program and supervise graduate students. All excellent researchers whose work is relevant to Dynamical Systems are encouraged to apply.
