The Department of Mathematics at Baylor University invites applications for a position of professor of mathematics starting in August 2017. Applications in all areas of mathematics will be considered. Active research areas in the department are in the general areas of algebra, analysis, computational mathematics, differential equations, mathematical physics, numerical analysis, representation theory, and topology. Candidates should possess an earned doctorate in the appropriate field of study. The successful candidate, who is expected to be tenurable at the at the full-professor level, will be an excellent mathematician, with national and international recognition for scholarship, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and a history of successful, sustained grantsmanship.
