The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University seeks applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship in widely applied mathematics, with an expected start date of August 15, 2017. The successful candidate will be expected to teach one applied mathematics course each year. This is a two-year appointment with a salary of $60,000 and $6,000 in annual research and travel support.

We are looking for applicants interested in an opportunity for independent research that complements that of the current faculty in Applied Mathematics, broadly interpreted, including those in the Harvard Paulson School, the Department of Physics, the Department of Earth and Planetary Science, the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and elsewhere at the University. Current faculty interests are in applied mathematics in biological, earth science, engineering and physical contexts, and especially in biophysics and soft materials.  For more information, see http://www.seas.harvard.edu/applied-mathematics

Candidates are required to have a doctorate or terminal degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics or a related area by the expected start date.
