The Department of Mathematics at Boston College invites applications for a post-doctoral (visiting assistant professor) position beginning Fall 2017. This position is intended for a new or recent Ph.D. with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. This is a 3-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, and carries a 2-1 annual teaching load. Research interests should lie within Geometry/Topology or a closely related area. Candidates should expect to receive their Ph.D. prior to the start of the position and have received the Ph.D. no earlier than Spring 2016. Applications must include a cover letter, description of research plans, teaching statement, curriculum vitae, and four or more letters of recommendation, with at least one addressing the candidate’s teaching qualifications.
