The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Assumption College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2017. Applications from candidates in all areas of Mathematics welcome, but the new hire must help to strengthen our program in Data Analytics. Responsibilities include 3/4 teaching load; scholarly and professional growth; and service to the department and College.
The position requires a PhD in mathematics or a related field received by August 2017. We seek a candidate committed to high quality teaching, undergraduate mentoring and advising, and an active research program in a teacher-scholar fashion. The research specialty should be compatible with funding available for a small liberal arts college. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College.
